The following scholarships are offered on a first-come, first-served basis depending on availability. Scholarship applications do not guarantee acceptance or receipt of funds.
HCU schools and academic departments may offer student scholarships that are not listed here. Please ask your academic advisor or faculty member in your major for more information about available scholarships relevant to your major or area of study.

Christian churches may contribute scholarship dollars to a full-time, undergraduate student. The University will match dollar for dollar up to $1,000. To receive this award, admitted students should submit a letter of recommendation from the church on official church letterhead along with a check for the dollar amount the church is awarding the student to theÌýFinancial Aid Office.ÌýChecks & letters for matching will be accepted until the first class day of the current semester. |
| Ministerial Dependents Grant | $8,000Ìýdivided over 8 undergraduate semesters ($2,000Ìýper academic year) | Residential students may qualify for this scholarship opportunity. Dependent children of vocational Christian ministers and missionaries may apply. To qualify you must submit a letter on the church/missions organization letterhead employing the parent. The letter must confirm the parent is a current paid, full-time employment on staff and it must be signed by the pastor/supervisor. Please submit this to the Financial Aid Office directly. Recipients must be unconditionally admitted to HCU and maintain a 2.8 cumulative HCU grade point average and full-time enrollment.ÌýDeadline is the first class day of the current semester.Ìý. |
| BGCT Ministerial Scholarships | $50Ìýper credit hourÌý$75Ìýper credit hour for Juniors and Seniors (who major or minor in Christianity | To qualify a student must be someone who has accepted Christ as Lord and personal Savior, and is a member of a Baptist Church. The student must show Church-affirmed evidence of a sense of call to the ministry. Students participating in this program also receive special guidance and participate in programs to help them pursue their calling. Submit theÌý. |
| Grace Hopper Scholarship | Awards vary up to full tuition | For full-time new freshmen or transfer students majoring in Computer Science, Cyber Engineering, Cyber Security, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems or Mathematics. Applicants must be United States citizens, and have a high school GPA of 3.5 or higher, or comprehensive transfer GPA of 3.0 or higher. | Stewart Morris Wharton Scholarship | Awards vary | The Stewart Morris Endowed Scholarship was created by HCU founding father, Dr. Stewart Morris, Sr. The scholarship has been created to enable transfer students from Wharton County Junior College (Wharton location) and high school graduates from Wharton ISD and surrounding small towns to pursue their undergraduate degree at ¶¶ÒõÈë¿Ú. First-generation college students and Wharton ISD or Wharton County Junior College students will be given preference. To apply,Ìýplease complete the online application. |
| Alumni Endowed Scholarships | Awards vary | The HCU Alumni Association currently has seven endowed scholarships. Scholarships are awarded each year to incoming freshmen who meet all requirements and qualifications.
